Local Matters

Community Newspapers

Be the first to review

Local Matters publishes two community newspapers – Hibiscus Matters, based in Orewa, and Mahurangi Matters, based in Warkworth.

Together, the papers cover an area from Silverdale north to Maungaturoto/Mangawhai, including Whangaparaoa, Orewa, Warkworth, Matakana and Wellsford.

We specialise in locally-sourced community news and information, relevant to the communities we serve. The papers are slightly larger than an A4 size, and have a longer shelf-life than a typical newspaper. Feedback indicates that most people don’t throw out the current issue until the next one appears in their letterbox.

This provides advertisers with a better opportunity to market their goods or services. We also operate a much-used website at www.localmatters.co.nz which includes a directory of trades and services, and professionals working in our circulation areas.
